Early Flathead racers and cruisers alike will be excited to see these front mount flathead distributors! MSD Ready-to-Run distributors do not need an external control box, so theres a simple and clean installation with only three wires to connect. Features a maintenance free magnetic pickup for unsurpassed reliability. Has HEI style terminals.  For 12 volt negative ground applications only.

Designed for 1949-1953 Ford Flathead V8 engines.

Ignition Coil

If you are looking to upgrade your stock coil, or want to compliment the performance of your MSD ignition, the Blaster Coil line is the right choice. Special 100:1 windings, kept cool in an oil filled metal canister, are used to provide maximum build-up of voltage.  The tower assembly is molded of durable alkyd material due to its high dielectric characteristics while wide spaced brass primary terminals prevent the possibility of spark. Can be used with a stock ignition, Blaster Ignition, or MSD 5, 6 or 7 Ignition Control.

For use with stock or MSD electronic ignitions. Most late model vehicles with electronic ignitions do not require a ballast resistor, check your ignition and manufacturers specifications to determine if a ballast is required in your application.  Mallory Unilite applications also require the ballast resistor.

Sprak Plug Wires

Finally, a set of 7mm supression spark plug cables as a universal plug wire kit for your Flathead.

We started with black, 7mm suppressive core wire that will go through your looms. The 90° black plug boots are installed but you have to install the straight or 90° distributor ends. We even put in enough wire to place your coil on the firewall. Comes with straight boots for the distributor end of the plug wire. Black only.

Two sets of boots/terminals are included, one set for conventional socket-type caps and one set for HEI type caps. The set includes 9 cables, the longest being 51″ and the shortest being 24″. Use eight for the plugs, one for the coil.
